MOUNT ETJO SCHOOL AND SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Namibia Mount Etjo is the home of a combined safari lodge and hunting operation located in the Kalkfeld area of Namibia. The Amy Bell Memorial Scholarship program provides support for special students who graduate from the Mount Etjo School to continue their education through high school, trade school, and university. The program also provides financial assistance to the school in the interest of raising the academic achievement level of all the students and their families through select projects at the Mount Etjo School. The goal of all of this support includes enhancing the educational opportunities for the children at the school, lifting up and empowering the families and caregivers of the children, and enhance economic opportunity for all the children and the families associated with the Mount Etjo School.

Amy Bell Ambassadors Trip 2025: Mount Etjo, Namibia πŸ‡³πŸ‡¦

We began our journey in Pretoria this August, then continued on under Namibian skies. πŸ’™

Led by Nancy Springfield Bayouth, the Amy Bell Ambassadors Team gathered at Mount Etjo School, where Blue Bags were shared with local children, love gifts filled with essential supplies, hope, and joy. πŸ‘πŸ½πŸŽ

We also connected with previous and current scholarship recipients and witnessed how they have grown as young adults.

Each delivery was a reminder of Amy’s legacy. 🩷 For her, it was always about paying it forward.
Grateful for moments spent in the heart of Namibia πŸ‡³πŸ‡¦, for the smiles, the stories, and the chance to witness the impact of giving together.

This Thanksgiving, we’re especially grateful for the communities we serve and the opportunity to carry Amy’s legacy forward. πŸ™πŸΌπŸŒΈ

A rising star in the kitchen. πŸ‘©πŸ½β€πŸ³πŸ©·

Congratulations to Ndamona Bernhardt for earning second place in the Namibian Chef of the Year competition - missing first place by just 0.03 points.

Competing against fully qualified chefs, her talent and determination continue to stand out. πŸ†

Thanks to the Amy Bell Scholarship and the support of Annette Oelofse at Mount Etjo School, she was able to study at The Purple Fig Cooking School - a dream made possible through teamwork, opportunity, and hard work.

Stories like hers remind us what can happen when potential meets support - and when a young person is given the chance to excel. πŸ’™
