Uganda Water Well Ministry

Shortly after Amy’s passing, a Midland family was inspired by Amy’s story of care and concern for children in need, especially in Africa. In cooperation with a ministry supported by members of the First Presbyterian Church in Midland, this caring family sponsored a water well called “Amy’s Well” in the village of Abaja in Uganda. This ministry has provided hundreds of similar freshwater wells in this region of Uganda. “Amy’s Well” has been life changing for thousands of people in this region of Uganda. Amy Bell Charities is now providing ongoing support for this ministry by helping fund countless additional wells in memory of and in honor of dear and beloved friends and families of Amy Bell Charities. The Bell family is committed to doing additional wells in this area, as “fresh clean water” is one of the most precious resources in all of Africa.
